Thanks for sharing that Steven. It filled in more than a few blanks for me, especially after I listened to the interview they did in Detroit back in February. In this interview Chris gave a lot more detail about the private label decision. It was interesting to me because the Detroit interview gave a little insight into the subject and then came Brent's blog/rant when people were bugging about how long it was taking to get CD's mailed to them while the band was on the road. And for those interested in TD trivia...Johnny came up with the name for Dream Corpse.

I also found the part about Carlton bringing digital sound to the band an eye-opener. I knew he was into electronika and techno with Shades of Scar and Lunarclick but I didn't know that The Dreaming had no backing tracks before he came on board. And as much as I love Jinxx's guitar skills, I have to agree that having a second guitar has really fleshed out the sound. Besides...it frees Jinxx up to pull out the violin occasionally...not often enough. Very Happy

I gotta say that if they did not get along the way Chris describes, I think that the national tour would have been a nightmare. Three months straight and stuff like 19 hour runs from Madision, WI to Allentown, PA, having to share a van with Shram for 3 days when the trannie went on theirs in the TN, etc, etc...:::shudder::: affraid

Finally to you...the team. Christopher's statement about not selling a million records? Ok, I'm not saying that we can affect those kinds of numbers but...you all play a key role in marketing Etched in Blood and are influencing purchases of the album. Personally, I think we could help them get a gold record (500,000 units sold) on it. It'd sure be a nice Christmas present.

Let's hit that Gold certification!!!!!!

*Insert Battle Cry*

The Best part about that entire interview was that Carlton is a football fanatic. That made me crack the hell up.
