I got on the meet and greet list. I'm excited. They were great on Projekt Rev. last year.

Yep, Amir and Ryan started Julien-K.

Meeting them was fantastic. They put on a heck of a show. They really got the crowd going, even though nobody knew the words to the songs but me. It was a fantastic experience overall.

I have a live version of Look At You, and Systeme De Sexe, but that's about it... And I have some remixes, but a lot of those kinda suck. So those aren't really worth the time.

I'll upload links once I get a decent computer that doesn't spaz out like this one.

When I met Julien-K, they were all really nice. Elias (the drummer) and I talked a whole bunch...

Apparently he played Bass for The Dreaming on the song Beautiful, before Brent joined up.

The GA tickets sold out and when I called about 6 hours before the show (or more) they said they only had 21+ tix left. I'm 21 but my friend I was going to go with was 19 so I decided going to a MSI show by myself would be kinda intense... so I skipped it. However, their EP is up for download.

I saw MSI by myself the last time I saw them, the first time I saw them too come to think of it.....

It wasn't TOO bad when I saw them.

These two crazy chicks got into a fist fight though. THAT was funny... And during Julien-K's set Mav and I almost got flattened by a gigantic, drunken lesbian. She shoved her way to the front, then proceeded to pretty much molest the girl she was with.

But yeah... MSI was kinda crazy, but not terrible... Nothing like what I heard. A couple of moshers kinda attacked me though. I didn't take too kindly to that, because they rammed into Mav. Security yanked them away after I decked one of them, and we had to move up to a different tier.

It was relatively mild, compared to the shows I'm used to seeing. Death metal is slightly more violent, but on the whole, everyone's nicer... It seems that the more violent the Pit is, the nicer and more respectful everyone is.

If you fell down seeing MSI, you're screwed. You'll be trampled to death. If you fall down during, say, Lamb of God, they pick you right back up... THEN throw you back down, haha. So at least you're safe.

well- ever since MSI jumped on the Hot Topic band wagon, the shows are much more tame.....They have done some crazy ass shit down here in NOLA back in the day
